ABOUT LING MOK

 

Kwan Ling Mok is an award-winning journalist, writer and filmmaker. She is a Knight Wallace Fellow 2023-2024, a prestigious international scholarship for outstanding journalism and storytelling. Her past works have been nominated for the New York TV and Film Awards. One of her documentary shorts, “A Eulogy for Apple Daily,” won the 2022 Asia Human Rights Press Award and third place in the 2022 Taiwan Press Photo Contest. 

 

Her short film “Far from Home” was shortlisted in the Fresh Wave International Short Film Festival 2021. Her screenplay “The Unshakable Destiny” was shortlisted for the 2022 Golden Horse Film Project Promotion. 

 

She was a graduate of the Department of Comparative Literature at the University of Hong Kong. She has previously worked as a senior feature and video journalist for Stand News and Ming Pao Weekly.

莫坤菱,畢業於香港大學文學院,主修比較文學及社會學。曾任專題及影像記者,紀錄作品入圍亞洲人權新聞獎、台灣新聞攝影大獎、New York Festivals TV & Film Awards以及Webby Awards。其劇情短片《執屋》入圍2021年第十五屆鮮浪潮國際短片節。其編劇作品《我愛過的那個時代》入圍2022年金馬創投會議。2023年 - 2024年獲頒發美國麥芝根大學Knight-Wallace Fellowship學人計劃獎學金。現為獨立編劇與導演。
